Have you ever considered opening your business in another European country? If so, which one and why?
Actually some time ago I was pondering the idea of moving to Germany to open an Italian food and wine import / export business. Italy has a wide variety of high quality tipical products, and local producers are constantly growing due to the increasing demand, specially in the last few years. And it is a fact that Italian food is highly appreciated in foreign countries, including Germany, which has one of the healthiest economies in Europe.
That's true. Italian food, wine and coffee are very popular in all European countries. In Spain, for example, there are several shops of Italian typical products, restaurants and bars. You can easily find them not only in the biggest cities, but also in the small towns. Besides, we have to consider that a large portion of the customers consists of Italian people who decided to emigrate abroad (for study or for business purposes). They often feel nostalgic for Italian cusine and need a shop selling authentic Italian products. I'm sure your business would thrive!
